Being an Italian, Monica Belluci has half of her position in the world of fashion and glamour written before she even stepped into it the world of fashion in 1977 when she was only 13 years old. Over the years, she moved over to Italian films and eventually found herself an integral part of Hollywood. Her largely successful films are the Matrix Reloaded and Enter the Matrix. She found herself as being ranked as the most sought after woman in 2002 when the magazine AskMen promoted her to the numero uno spot.
Her career as an actress began in the year 1991 when she made a debut performance in La Riffa in 1991. Her career graph continued moving upward since then, and she made several successful performances in various Hollywood movies along the years. She found herself nominated for several awards and decrees over the years, and even bagged some. She is the proud recipient of Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists Award, 2003 and Golden Globe Award in 2005.
She married the French actor Vincent Cassei in 1999, but they parted ways in 2013. They had two daughters, Deva and Leonie.
It was a pleasant surprise for Belluci when the movie's director, Sam Mendes, asked her to be in the cast of the movie Spectre. The movie has Daniel Craig as James Bond, and Belluci is going to be his lady-love. This way, she is the only Bond girl to be a part of a movie despite her moving on to an age of 50 years.
